MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
Man! What a year~ Hope everyone has a wonderful dinner and enjoying their presents! I know I did 8D
I woke up early today~~ Yay me! :] well.. I just really wanted to open the presents my boyfriend got for me 
He’s… really… too sweet for words. LOL

If anyone is interested in what I got him: Lacoste Essentials cologne (with shaving balm!), 2 t-shirts (one says: Being a musician is tough. the other: Let’s get dirty. xD Both had characters from Charlie Brown. :3) and last but not least! Two pretty bottle things for olive oil and vinegar.
I had a cooking showdown with my dad. I cooked the roast chicken, mashed potatoes and shrimp wrapped in bacon and he did the roast swan, fried noodles and the blanched baby bok choy. My kitchen isn’t really all that big.. so we kind had to fight for counter space LOL But it was so much fun~ We both had our aprons on, mine is very plain and his has a giant bear on it. 8D Scroll down for pictures! (Dear dad, hope you never find this blog… XD you might just kill me.) Whole family came upstairs to eat with us YAAAAAAY~
The chicken I roasted, stuffed it with garlic,onions and pineapples! 8D! The skin broke ‘cuz I tried to flip it over… LOL Stupid tongs… Turned out really tender! Which is great because I live with my grandparents and I know that the last thing they want to eat is something tough…
My dad’s roast swan! My god, he’s so fast when chopping I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of it whole! I turned away and look back and it was already like this! >8O
Remember all that corn I got? Well we have pineapples this time! There were actually probably a dozen more, but we gave them away or ate it. LOL Nom.
All the gifts that are ready to be given! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I love Christmas! Can’t wait to give it to everyone! :]

I’m done baking. <3 Much love for that.
Man, it’s been one hectic month. Two exams and stress over baking. Kind of wished our instructor helped us a bit more. Many of us were scrambling around to figure how everything is done in class, and most of us have never really baked anything that is mass produced, like dessert parties for the cafeteria, and dinner rolls for the school restaurant upstairs. Well… Unless you were Stanley.. D8< Other the chef’s tendencies to go out of class 5 to 8 times a day to have a smoke, there wasn’t anything else that really bugged me. Got to eat a lot in class, though! Fortunately, I didn’t gain any weight from eating so much pastries or bread. 
I wonder if anyone ever reads these…LOL
Christmas is almost here! Our first snowfall today too! What a sight to wake up to! <3 So Christmas shopping ensues later that afternoon. :3
So, my sweetheart had his 26th birthday on Friday. Oh… dear.. did he ever get hammered. XD He’s such an affectionate drunk <3 So cute. Should get him drunk more often! Shh, don’t tell him! I make his cake this year, that was really fun. Don’t have any pictures to post up. ): I was in such a hurry I didn’t take a picture of the finished product! But everyone said it was really good. Nice and creamy, with the real cream cheesy-ness that most cakes don’t seem to have. <3

I always thought black forest cakes had such charm to them. Never really like eating them that much though lol.
But here’s the one I decorated today in class. Baking isn’t that bad now.. but that’s because I had a little helper from a high school who came in to help me for the past 2 days. Se’s so cute.. She followed me everywhere~ <3

Today was the last day of the Hospitality Expo at the Convention Center. Also the last day of the BC’s New Culinary Stars Competition. And so my team competed yesterday, as a whole, and we did really well. The only slip-ups were: the ice-cream machine did not function properly, so we couldn’t present our lemon ice-cream for our dessert. We also made the mistake, which I should of caught, of giving the end piece to the judges >_< Which was also the toughest piece of the entire roast. Never making that mistake again ; A ; And we could of gained some points if we garnished with the citrus candy, that was on the menu, so it was OKAY to put on the plate >_<!!!!!
._. Wooh… Now it’s all over. Here’s my trophy!!!!
Ignore the messy blanket in the bg Lol! Also , everyone who competed got this nice square glass plate thingy. It’s hard to take a pic of it since it’s clear XD So I’ll leave it to your imagination~~~~
Now I get to spend my afternoon with my girls and my honey. :3 YAY!

I’m finally some-what out of my mental breakdown week. Man that was bad. ._. Though now I realized it just not going to help if I worry so much about the competition and other stuff too, I’m going to be the death of myself, I swear. xD So to make myself feel better… I went out to buy a new knife after my nap yesterday.
Tadah! A new Shun carving knife.
Screw the Chef’s knives! xD It’s way too big for my hands anyways. Now that I have this baby, I’m unstoppable!!! :]
So, I never thought I would end up disliking baking this much. ._. Not the baking itself. But I’m currently partnered up with one of the laziest guys in my class. Not very charming and voluptuous in the sense of size. So far, I’ve let him do most of the work, cuz I know, if I do everything, he’ll be pestering me. I think it’s better that he’s busy, instead of me. I hope this month goes by fast. D8
I also cut my hair if anyone cares! Looks the same as before but that’s alright :]

Ah~ Mondays. How tired you make me.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve last updated :3
Updates!
I’m entering a team competition with a bunch of classmates! It’s a student competition where there’s a set menu on the first day of 1 appetizer, 1 main entree, and 1 dessert(I’m guessing). The winners then get to choose one student and then go into a black box competition with the other finalist. It’s INTENSE. How intense? I’ve got to spend a lovely 15 hours at school everyday except Sunday(Thank God!) to practice, after class that is. Even on Remembrance Day ._. Well at least I can watch the memorial service since my school is right in front of Victory Square. (Haha…) I hope I can do well. Wish me luck ; – ; This is my first serious cooking competition. And truth to be told, I’m kind of scared shitless. You can always tell when I write a huge paragraph. So yea. WISH ME LUCK ; A ;
Class has been interesting. Chef Hutton is awesome. LOL He actually notices who’s working and who’s not. So I always feel bubbly when he starts lecturing really loudly to those who just stand around eating and doing nothing productive. Mean of me? Kind of. Fair? Very. <3
Some pretty interesting things happened today in class, besides the fact that I was chosen to sign my soul to Chef Krentz who is in charge of the competition.

Foodstuff we’ve been making in class:
Panfried Sole with brown butter caper sauce. Parsley and paprika on a lemon wedge as garnish. I made this one <3
I’m guessing these are panko crusted duchesse potatoes.
Swiss steak with demi sauce with a carrot puree and parsley as garnish.
Yepyeps. Now I have to go study the recipes.
